Message: I was searching the internet for origins of Christmas and happened upon your website. In my reading I noticed the Jewish flag. If you recognize that Israel is God's chosen people and also that the worship day changed to graft in the multitudes why do you not worship on the Sabbath (Saturday)?

Dear Nate,
Thank you for your correspondence.
We do worship on the Shabbat, which begins on Friday evenings at sundown and continues until Saturday evenings at sundown. This is defined in the creation account:
Genesis 1:5b
"And there was evening and there was morning, one day."
All Jewish people (orthodox, conservative, or liberal) recognize this (see the movie "Fiddler on the Roof"). We assemble on Friday evenings to usher in the Sabbath (Shabbat).
Blessings from the Tzemach Institute for Biblical Studies,
