Subject: What is the bare minimum spiritual level?

Message: What is the bare minimum spiritual level? Does the Holy Spirit come from Jesus Christ? Who else can deliver [the] Holy Spirit? What is the medium to transfer [the] Holy Spirit to people? Once you [have] receive it, does it remain forever? Can anyone get [the] Holy Spirit over and over again? Who qualifies for it? Are there any bare minimum requirements? How [can one] maintain the required level for a long time? Is it possible that God can withdraw this any time? Is it possible to be transferred to anyone? If yes, to whom? If one gets [the] Holy Spirit once, is he qualified to get salvation? Is there any penalty for misuse? Any believer, other than Christians, can achieve this?

Dear Thomas,

Thank you for your correspondence. My apologies for not responding sooner, but you present a number of questions. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He freely gives His Spirit to those who seek Him with a right heart. I can explain some of your questions in a letter, but invariably would not be able to cover all necessary aspects pertaining to your understanding. What that means is that simple answers to these questions would just not be enough. If you truly want understanding on these issues there is no short cut to reading through the scriptures. Our bible course is designed to help you do that in an organized, chronological approach, and is available for free on-line at http://www.tzemach.org/application.htm
For more information see "Course Information" in the left menu of any page on our web site at http://www.tzemach.org/index-eng.htm
