Message: This is the problem that Jesus was refering to:
"do not think that I have come to abolish the law, but to fullfil the law."
Now over and over again the Bible shows us that the Hebrew people always wanted to do the law. And in the New testament we see also that every one who did worked on the sabat day were persecuted by those religious leaders, to the point that Jesus could not continue healing the sick in Judea. He was NOT ALLOWED TO HEAL ON THE SABAT.
The blind could not have his sight back on the sabat day and the healed crippled could not pick-up his bed on the sabat.
I have listened to your teachings often and every time I have come to the conclusion that what you are teaching is pharisaic.
If we could do the law then it was not nessecary for Jesus to come to earth.
I believe in What the apostle Paul was saying.
"I find then a law that, when I would do good, evil is present with me." Romans 7:21
For I delight in the law of God after the INWARD man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin WHICH IS IN MY MEMBERS.
O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death."(ourselves?)
Thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
We are all of a sinful nature and are unable to fulfill the low. Furthermore we cannot rid our selves from this sinful nature.
By tying to preach this non-sense you are putting heavy burdens on the people.
Here is what I believe should be preached:
"There is therfore no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walked not after the flesh (law), but after the Spirit" (Holy Spirit).Romans 8:1
For the law of the Spirit of Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (from the law of works)
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD SENDING HIS OWN SON IN THE LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH, AND FOR SIN CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH.
Jesus took the sins of every individual that has ever walked the earth. And it is His blood that cover this sin. (not our rigteousness)
Let the Holy spirit have His way in doing its work and don't hinder it by doing it your self.
Spiritual doing is not the same as doing in the flesh. Doing in the flesh is physical performance and doing by the Spirit is faith in Christ.
This is the 3rd time that I have commented on your writings, and have yet to see an answer on it.
May God bless you all.

Dear Johannes Boermeester,
Thank you for your correspondence.
I am sorry that we have not responded to your previous three messages. In general I do not respond to comments unless a question is raised, due to the imense volume of mail we receive. Our position is obviously not in agreement with your opinion in many cases. We do teach those things you have listed above. We do not believe that Israelis were in error for keeping the law, but for keeping more than the law. We do not walk in condemnation (at all). We agree with Paul when he said, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable." Also, King David said,
"O how I love Thy law, it is my meditation all of the day. Thy commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever mine. I have more insight than all my teachers, for Thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, because I have observed Thy precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Thy word. I have not turned aside from Thine ordinances, for Thou Thyself has taught me. How sweet are Thy words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! From Thy precepts I get understnading; therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path..." Psalm 119: 97-105.
This is the David of whom it was said "has a heart like God." This is the David that is the strongest prophetic picture of the Messiah who was at that time yet to come. He sets up a tent in Jerusalem and puts the ark of the covenant in it, separate from the tabernacle and all its functions in Gibeon (I Chronicles 16: 37-39), and through David the people could enter in directly before the presence of God (as we do now through Jesus).
The "doctrine" that we teach is the product of more than 25 years of taking class after class through the bible, cover to cover. These issues are difficult and so Peter warned that many misinterpreted Paul to their own destruction ( II Peter 3:14-16). We believe that many of the doctrinal postions of modern Christianity are in error for just such a reason. I invite you to go through the bible course as we do, cover to cover, since it is also available online. Not our interpretation, just scripture in chronological order repeating what is important over and over and over.
