"MIDI" stands for "Musical Instrument Digital Interphasee."
A MIDI card on your computer enables it to read a musical
keyboard the same way it reads a typewriter keyboard.
Unlike a person, however, the computer can now turn around
a play multiple instruments/sounds all at the same time.
