Israel Raids Jericho Prison:
Up until this point in time the six murderers who killed Israeli Tourism Minister Tehavan Ze’evi were being held in "Palestinian" Authority jails while being monitored by British and American observers. The raid took place over several hours at the compound in Jericho. The British and American observers had left earlier that morning. The six men directly involved in Ze’evi's murder surrendered to Israeli Defense Force soldiers Tuesday evening and were transferred to Israeli jails.

Check Points Continue to be Valuable:
Israel has been on high alert this week in preparation for and during the festival of Purim, and as a follow up to the raid in Jericho and the continued escalation in terror warnings. A bomb was found at a checkpoint earlier in the week as two eighteen-year-old girls were transporting it. Soldiers described the girls as acting strangely, which aroused their suspicions. The girls were instructed to put down their items and step away. As the two were interrogated they told investigators that the bombs in their bag were originated in Shechem. It continues to show that young, non-combatants are used to bring violence in to Israel, and how Israel must continue to use checkpoints.

Ancient Jewish Town Found:
Israel’s Antiquities Authority discovered an ancient Jewish town from the era of King Solomon [960 BCE]. It was discovered beneath the Arab village of Kfar Kana [the town of Cana] just north of Nazareth. Some of the finding included tunnels used by the Jews while defending the city from Roman legions during the Great Revolt [66 CE].

Honorary "Palestinian Citizenship" Awarded:
The "Palestinian authority" [without a state] honored two jailed terrorist this week with honorary citizenship. Both Samir Quntar and Sultan Al-Ajaluni are serving life sentences in Israeli jails for murder. It is an interesting phenomenon that murderers in the "Palestinian" society are honored.
