The Heartland Continues to Flourish:
The Bureau of statistics confirmed numbers by “Shalom Achshav” (Peace Now) that the Yesha communities grew by 12,000 this past year with a net growth of 10,000. They state that this could be a low figure though, that with the recent expulsion of so many residents from GAZA, many of them residents might not have registered. They also report that the natural rate of growth is much higher in Yesha than that of the rest of Israel. Yesha has an average rate of 5.5 percent compared to the rest of Israel at 1.8 per cent. It appears that at least some Israeli’s are taking the verse stating to be fruitful and multiply seriously. Yesha now reports to have a current population of 250,000 not including Jerusalem, which holds nearly 400,000 more. The heartland currently has a total population of nearly 650,000 Jewish residents.
Aliyah Continues:
This week another planeload of Jewish sojourners returned home to Israel from Ethiopia. The group included about 150 immigrants and another 100 North American supporters who had first visited the Ethiopia’s to gain insight on the process of Aliyah. These immigrants are thought to be descendants of the tribe of Dan. These new immigrants will face many challenges as they rejoin their brothers in the land. Many come from mixed marriages and religious traditions that have been past down from lengthy estrangement. Israel has taken in almost 45,000 Ethiopian Jews between 1989 and 2000. The Union of Jewish Communities in North America pledged to raise $100 million dollars to help with the absorption of Ethiopian Jewish immigrants.
Israel Continues Pre-emptive Self-defense:
In an early morning raid Tuesday the Senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Ahmed Ridad was killed in Shechem. He had been the head of the Islamic Jihad's Al-Kuds Brigade. Along with other terrorist, Ridad and his cohorts were surrounded and given the opportunity to surrender. They resisted and were killed. Two Israeli Defense Force [IDF] soldiers were injured.
More action occurred in the Negev (southern Israel) as well where two terrorists from Fatah’s Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigade were on their way to launch Kassam rockets into Jewish communities. They were killed in a targeted attack by an IDF helicopter that fired two missiles into their car as it traveled through an area near Jabalya. The two terrorists were Raami Hanoun and Yassir Asfour.
The Israeli Air Force also continued to deal with the “Palestinian” residents of the evacuated Gaza communities this week. Kassam rockets continue to be launched from the previously Jewish communities of Elei Sinai, Nissanit, and Dugit. The Israeli Air Force [IAF] responded by bombing open fields, approach routes, as well as a bridge in the Beit Hanoun region. The mission was to damage roads leading to the missile launching areas, thus cutting off the means of easy mobility for the terrorist.
A Message from the Editor:
On Monday [February 6] the employees of the Danish consulate in Beirut, Lebanon dug through the burned-out remains of the building the day after it was set on fire by protesters. On Tuesday [February 7] "Palestinian" protesters, still angry at the publication of cartoons of Muhammad, burned a Danish flag. This week we have all noticed the outrage from the "peaceful" religion of Islam. The question arises, "is this new" or "should it surprise us?" The answer is of course, no. Understanding the Islamic definition of a graven image, we should be amazed, but not at this public display of outrage over a cartoon, but the fact that there was no such public display of outrage following the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center in New York, nor was there outrage over the bombings in London [even by Arab residents in London] and countless other incidents of Islamic aggression and intimidation. We actually found that the cartoons in question had been previously published in Egypt by Al Fagr Newspaper during Ramadan [October 2005] without any outraged response whatsoever.
It seems apparent that, from their perspective, World War III has already begun. Eventually Islam must either convert or kill the infidels. There are over one billion people in the world that ascribe to Islam, a religion whose underlying tones are founded in hate and forced submission. Those who buy into the notion that there are "moderate" followers of Islam will eventually realize that those moderates only served as a Trojan horse for the rest of the true believers to infiltrate our communities. To the rest of the world, Islam is an enormous threat, not because we, as a free, loving, caring people have had war declared on us, but because so many of our fellow citizens are wearing blinders to the fact that we are already in the war.
