Fellowship Church is a non-denominational group, located in Casselberry, Florida (just north of Orlando), who identify with all who know God and serve Him through Jesus the Messiah. We identify with Israel and the international Jewish community as the elect people of God. We identify with upright men everywhere who fear God and seek to walk uprightly before Him. We identify with the person in bondage under sin because we were all once in that position and by God's grace He rescued us. Our two-fold mission is to confirm God's promises to His people, Israel, and to demonstrate God's grace toward all men as expressed through Messiah Jesus (Romans 15:8-9).
The church originally adopted the traditional Christian flag as her banner. Later the Lord began to call us to identify with Israel as we began to recognize the powerful work that God is doing there today. We began to realize that God is preparing Israel for the establishment of the Messianic Kingdom and that Israel today is the forerunner to that Kingdom. At the same time, we realized that the Jewish people had suffered harsh persecution throughout the ages under the Christian banner. Hence, we chose the flag of Israel as our banner. We announce by it that we believe that God's favor has returned to Israel and we desire to be identified with His activities there.
Fellowship is a mission-oriented body which endeavors to accomplish God's will individually and cooperatively. We work to strengthen the individual believer in order that he can be filled with the Holy Spirit. When we come together for worship, we seek an open manifestation of the Holy Spirit. By this, each individual's experience in the Lord is enhanced. Fellowship has sought specific direction for itself through fasting and prayer. The specific objectives set forth by the Holy Spirit on these occasions are:
- Training Disciples: This is the most foundational objective of the church. We endeavor to assist those desiring to enter the Kingdom of God by attaining victory over condemnation, by gaining a knowledge of the Scriptures and by developing the spiritual sense of hearing the Lord with confidence.
- Reaching Out: This objective has been set forth primarily in the area of "setting the captive free". Many today are in bondage both to worldly lures and religious traditions. Our purpose is to minister freedom so individuals can serve God with a clear conscience.
- Ministering Reconciliation: We, as members of the body of Messiah, have been given the ministry of reconciliation (II Corinthians 5:18-19). This was provided by Jesus on His cross (Romans 5:18). We endeavor to communicate this fact to others.
- Identifying With Israel: We recognize that God's favor has returned to Israel (Joel 3:1). We endeavor to identify with Israel and to comfort Zion in every possible way.
- Proclaiming The Gospel Of The Kingdom: Jesus' message was the "Kingdom of God". We have been given the responsibility of proclaiming this gospel in our community.
As possible, we endeavor to build real bridges of communication with the Jewish Community. We perceive that the real Church and Israel have complementary roles to play in bringing God's Kingdom to the earth.
The Psalmist exhorts us to enter God's gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. At other places, we are told to sing unto the Lord making melody in our hearts, to lift up holy hands to God, to dance before the Lord, to praise Him with instruments as well as with our voices. All of these will be incorporated into the services here because we have been assembled to bless the Lord and to be blessed by His presence.
