The Six-Day War, like no other modern event, demonstrated that God's hand is on Israel. As a result of amazing victories on all fronts, there came a bold anointing in the midst of God’s people. In Israel it sparked the Temple Mount and the settlement movements. In addition, it paved the way some years later for the election of Menachen Begin as Prime Minister. This marked the demise of the absolute dominance of the Labor party in Israeli politics. Among Christians, the Six-Day War sparked the charismatic anointing that roared across the world. Faith was boldly stirred because it was obvious that God was moving in the midst of His people.

The Six-Day War had the opposite effect on unbelievers. It must have shaken unbelievers from deep within, hinting that perhaps man was not in control after all. It seems to have spoken boldly enough that they determined to try to prevent any future activity that could produce a similar result. We believe that the spirit of Antichrist is expressly moving to block a future military victory in Israel that could stir faith like that which occurred in 1967. We can see this, in particular, in the movement to establish a Palestinian state within the borders of Israel to act as a "spoiler" against such bold action on the part of Israel.

One of the most unbelievable and striking facts is that Israel has given this Palestinian army a large cache of weapons.

In the late 1980’s, the US established a dialogue with Yasser Arafat affording him international credibility. In 1993 the Oslo Accords were signed with the famous ceremony on the White House lawn. This further elevated Yasser Arafat into a position of international prominence and portrayed him as an honorable statesman. The crown of this fantasy occurred when he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. As a result of the Oslo Accords, the PLO was given real territory for their operations in Jericho, Gaza, Judea, and Samaria. They were given weapons and subsequently formed a well-equipped 50,000 to 70,000-man army. Funding for the PLO has come from the US, Israel, Europe and oil-rich Moslem states.

One of the most unbelievable and striking facts is that Israel has given this Palestinian army a large cache of weapons. The Palestinian units are now using these weapons given to them by Israel and the training giving to them by the US CIA to murder Israelis on an almost daily basis. Labor leaders in Israel have acted in conjunction with the nations to insure the longevity of the Palestinian movement. Unbelieving Israeli leadership in persons like Shimon Perez and the two Yossi's (Beilin and Sarid) have pushed ahead of the nations in aiding the Palestinians. These apostate Israeli leaders are working in conjunction with the West to maintain Palestinian viability within Israel. All of these have been somewhat embarrassed due to Arafat’s rejection of their most generous offer (presented by US President Bill Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak) at Camp David last year. Arafat initiated what the Moslems call the "Al Aksa Intifada" and what many Israeli now call the "Oslo War". Nevertheless, Western leaders and liberal Israeli leaders still hold on to their fantasy for Arafat and his Palestinian administration. The reason for this is to prevent faith. The prospect of the emergence of another terrorist state (Palestine) is less threatening to them than the prospect of real faith within God's people.

The process of redemption will continue in spite of what the nations do. A major war in the Middle-East is highly probable. We believe that in this coming war God's hand will be evident as it was in 1967. We expect Israel to remove the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, and the other Moslem terrorist organizations from within its borders and to consecrate the Temple Mount for its biblical purposes, including the removing of the Al Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Daniel and Jesus both referred to the "Abomination of Desolation" (Daniel 9:27, 12:11; Matthew 24:15). We believe that the Moslem mosque and shrine constitutes this abomination. Finally, the way will be clear for the building of the Third Temple.

Faith will be loosed in a powerful way. Get ready for the revival.
